What can I study?
Graduate courses can vary in length from six months to four years, and we offer full time, part time and flexible learning options to fit in with your busy lifestyle.
Whether you’re looking to enter a completely new professional area, or looking to enhance your knowledge and expertise in your existing career, we offer over 400 graduate courses covering a huge range of discipline areas including:
- Architecture, building, planning and design
- Arts, humanities and social sciences

- Music and visual and performing arts
- Veterinary and agricultural sciences.
What financial support is there?
At the University of Melbourne, we have over 1,200 scholarships available to both domestic and international students.
We offer many different types of scholarships such as housing grants, course fee assistance, research bursaries, one-off payments, travel grants, and more.
To help fund your graduate study, Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available for Australian students in a number of graduate degrees at Melbourne.
You could also organise funding from your employer, defer payment through FEE-HELP, or even deduct tuition fees and other costs from your taxable income.
You might also be eligible for Graduate Access Melbourne. Evidence of the University of Melbourne’s commitment to providing education opportunities for students from a range of backgrounds, Graduate Access Melbourne is our special entry scheme for graduate students. By applying for Graduate Access Melbourne at the same time as you apply for your graduate course at Melbourne, you can be assured that circumstances that have affected your previous tertiary study will be considered when we assess your application.

Presented by Associate Professor Jan Hodgson, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne and Program Director for the Master of Genetic Counselling and the Master of Genomics and Health.
Find out more about how this course incorporates training in genetics/genomics, counselling, health communication, clinical practice (professional placements) and research. Completion of the MGC fulfils the eligibility requirements set by the Human Genetics Society of Australasia to be employed as an Associate Genetic Counsellor and undertake further professional certification processes.
